SW SCORE: 33
3 out of 5 🐙

I keep writing this statement or some version of it. So I’m going to write a statement and just copy and paste it every time it applies. I really cannot handle watching movies about the holocaust or slavery anymore. I get that they are important but I just can’t do it anymore. I mention this because it obviously indicates bias on my part. That aside, I’m not a fan of Roberto Benigni’s comic style. I understand the heart behind the film and I appreciate it but it just didn’t work for me. And I get that it’s not supposed to make me laugh in the traditional sense but I just got no joy from it. It was a silly, unsatisfying farce. I tried to be objective with my silly scoring system but I get that my bias snuck in some.

(1) Shark Wrighter (SW) Score: Based on a sum of 5 sub-scores (acting, directing, writing/story, effects: cinematography &/or animation &/or effects, editing) with 1 being terrible and 10 being terrific.
(2) Octopuses (0-5 🐙, with 5 being fantastic and 0 being feces)
(3) Octopuses are my unquantifiable feeling…not that SW score is scientific…but this one is even less so
(4) ++ This optional section includes any incredibly *brilliant observations that don’t fit into simple quantitative slices like the scores and octopuses *(they are likely NOT brilliant)
